Mercy... Well, my friend Lynne and her new boyfriend Todd came up for the weekend. Our boss Todd manages this country band that was doing a show Friday night at Joe's Bar & Grill. It was fun! We were on "the list" to get in then got to go up in the VIP room and such. Plus the band was really good! Except for the gay guy from Nashville that performed (Trent Tomlinson.)

Saturday night I took them to Boystown for a night of... Fun? It was a B L A S T ! ! !

We started off at Sidetrack, my favorite video bar in the world. I consumed quite a bit of vokda there while Lynne and Todd mainly drank beers I think. From there, we went across the street to Roscoes where we started shooting Jager (Well.. they did.. I shot tequila.) SO I'm getting pretty damn messed up! Hmm.. We all were! At about 1 I'm ready to start heading for somewhere to eat then home but Lynne and Todd wanted to go to the Honky Tonk.. (Charlie's) - so we walked like 10 million miles to get there, all the while I'm getting very sober... and they wouldn't let poor Lynne-pooh in cause they said she was too drunk. LOL SO we start heading back up Halsted... Todd falls over and is heels up in the middle of the sidewalk!

Well... we finally made it to the burrito place and ate a quite bite then off to the house... The next day I made the most phenominal pork chop dinner... Served with a garlic jam! HOT DAMN IT WAS GOOD!

All-in-all, we all had a great weekend. We're planning our trip to Marti Gras now. :-D

As I sit here contemplating my next On-Demand movie that I'm going to watch I found this "Mood Zone" stuff... It's really cool. A nice divergence from my bouts of depression I've been feeling lately. It (the divergence) lasted about 2 minutes. Basically it's like listening to music on your computer with Windows Media Player visualizations going full screen on your TV.

I'm not exactly sure what prompted this round of shitty feelings. Probably the movie "Annapolis" - very good movie - highly recommend! A friend of mind says it's because it's the holiday season and I'm, as always, still single. Good probability I imagine. I have tricks here and there in Chicagoland as well as in TN but they're only good for an hour or so then they get on my nerves.

I think I may take an early vacation in March and sneak over to visit a friend in either Dublin or another friend that lives outside of London. Not sure - may visit both. They're really cool guys. I was planning a two-week vacation sometime in the fall to London but if I don't snap out of this shit mood I may go early. I keep having these precognitions too and I haven't figured those out either. Something about a beach and the ocean and a guy. Hell if I know where that fits in! I don't think I've even watched a movie like that. *sigh* Oh well... I'm sure this entire post makes no sense what-so-ever but I felt like writing something. I haven't been blogging all week (on neither of my blogs.)

Oh... By the way... I'll no longer be posting political posts on here. My Political Blog is a totally seperate monster now! Check it out. Feel free to join us if you want! Just keep in mind that if you're stupid, it will probably be exposed rather quickly considering the members I have already on there are pretty damn sharp!

Decorating for Christmas!

Even my cat, Frankie, got involved in the festivities!

Here's the the tree in the living room:

Due to damages that the tree I used last year suffered from Frankie, I decided to buy a new one for the living room. The one from last year is out on the balcony now. (I know - it's very gay having more than one tree!)

We also decorated the top of the T.V. with some stuff and put a wreath on the door and one on the railing on the balcony. Strung up a few lights and some garland on the balcony as well. There's a few other decorations here and there but nothing huge yet... I'm not sure if I want to do anymore decorating or not...

Well... The car is going to take nearly 2 weeks to repair so I came on back home in the rental car last night. Moe come with me. She wanted to help me with my Christmas party! WOOHOO!!! Anyways.... We had a decent trip other than the fact that we were in a PT Loser. That little thing sux. Lots of room in it but it rides like a log wagon!

I'm glad to be home though.. Visiting TN is great but after about a week or so I start missing my bed. (Literally!) Anyways... It's good to be home. It's supposed to snow Friday too!!! WOOHOO!!!

Well... I didn't get to see Will again... He must be a baller cause, he went to Nashville to get his hair cut on Saturday! He's probably mad at me cause of my HRC posts [ 1 | 2 ]. Sorry babe! Love you but still hate HRC. :-)

Well... I bought the domain name for the new "political" blog. The whole TalkLeft.com experience totally pissed me off to the point to where I want to just bash on them as much as possible without compromising my platform. Those people are some twisted ass people on that site!

Anyway... I'll put up the URL and notify everyone when the new site is ready to start. I'm developing it now. I got quite a bit knocked out today actually... Should have it ready to go sometime next weekend maybe.

OK... So I'm going to bash on them some more.

While they do have good objectives they at least need re-organization and they need to rename their organization unless they are willing to take on more serious issues such as issues taken on by the Human Rights Watch organization. How can a group use the name "Human Rights" if they're only objectives are for the LGBT community? It's truly beyond me. Seems a little.... arrogant?

As for what happened to my friend... My biggest issue with them is the fact that they didn't even respond! I can understand that it may have not been something that they would normally not deal with - a national big box retailer openly discriminating against the very people they claim to fight for but, to not even respond to us! They didn't e-mail us or, for that matter return our calls! They could have said "Hey, that's not something we can help you with." or they could have referred us to another organization that could have helped us. BUT OH NO!!! No response from them AT ALL. That's my issue with them. That's why I refuse to support them in the slightest. There are other, BETTER, LGBT groups in this country that I can contribute my money to.

But, in any event, come on!! Change the name or change your charter. There are humans all over this planet that could use the help. No... I have no respect for this group. Sure, they've done a lot of good things, I'm sure. My friend Will was quick to point that out. What you do not hear of are the, what I'm sure, are the countless people they blatantly pass over.

Deer in the Headlights

Well... Unfortunately I smacked a dear head on this morning while driving back home so, I'm still in Tennessee... It happened in Paducah KY. I called my sister and her husband and they came to pick me up. Geico is a great insurance company. They called the wrecker and even arranged for my rental car (which I will pick up Monday morning.) They close at noon on Saturdays here in PoDunk, TN.

I've taken pictures of the damage and of the deer and I will post them later this evening once I get the film developed. We're going to Jackson to eat at T.J. Mulligan's for dinner. If you ever have the chance to eat at one of their places, I highly recommend getting a hamburger! They're the best ever anywhere!

New Blog

So, after this debacle today with TalkLeft.com, I've been thinking about starting a purely political blog (with it's own domain name) where people could discuss views - no matter what their politics are. It would, of course, have to be a moderated environment but unless it turned childish, vulger, etc... it would be an open platform for anyone.

I would start a lot of the threads. Well... myself and a few members that volunteer to join in with me. We would focus on REALITY political views - not being left or right. If it makes sense, we'll talk about it! Anyway... Like I said, this is just an idea I'm kicking around... Let me know what you think! Oh... I would most likely also focus on ridiculing sites such as "TalkLeft.com" and other extremist blogs.

I haven't found a website like this... If anyone knows of one, let me know that too! That'd definitely be a consideration I'd have to take in before moving forward with this. I've got enough domain names and don't want another one if it wouldn't end up being useful.

If really concerns me when criminal defense attorneys think that drug dealers should not be punished for their crimes. What in the living hell is these idiots thinking? Yes. I'm being a little insulting at this point... It burns my ass worse than a flame about three feet high does!

Superman Returns

Well... Spencer just brought Superman Returns over and we watched it. He works for a video rental place so we get to see the movies like a week before they're released. As far as the movie goes, it wasn't very good. It's truly sad that the script wasn't better than it was because Brandon Routh had the part exact down to a science! He was great. The movie totally sucked though. The only reason I continued to watch it was because I saw him in a talk show interview where he was asked about a rumor about him having a big cock. Aparently they had to digitally remove most of his penis from the movie because it made everyone uncomfortable. I'm, of course, disappointed because of that. He is supercute for sure!

Officially, though, I must rate the movie: D-

The critics were kinder than I am being... They've gave it a B.

Back when I was blogging daily, I usually frequented TalkLeft.com and participated in the discussions. Sometimes I'd be with the majority then, sometimes I would not. On this occassion, I am MOST DEFINITELY NOT. In fact, I am ashamed and embarrassed to be called a Democrat if it means I'm suppose to stand for what this woman is trying to advocate. I couldn't even finish reading her post before the feeling of nausea set in.

Take a look at what this woman has written. You should also check out my response. In the next day or two I expect some pretty heated responses as they usually do when I disagree with someone on that web site.

The lady can't even justify her argument or give any logical resoning for her views. All she could do is tell me that I shouldn't be posting. This website has changed from what it used to be. Back around 2 years ago when I was participating, it was a place for truly inteligent conversations with people arguing their views in a civil manner. It seems that it has changed now to reflect extremist views of what everyday Democrats would even view as unacceptable. Therefore, I will disassociate myself completely from this website. I would be surprised if Socialists would even want to be associated with this website or the people that actively participate on it now. TURNS OUT that this lady, the original author of the post, is the creator and owner of TalkLeft.com. I guess she's right about EVERYTHING and everyone else in the world is WRONG!

So I'm back to blogging on a regular basis seems like it! After using the blogger.com interface for the last few weeks or so and, getting more "into" blogging the last few days, I've grown tired of using the web interface supplied to us from Blogger.com and have now opted to return to the tool I once used when I was blogging at this level of blogging. w.bloggar It's a great tool. Not really geared for a novice though. It doesn't give you that WYSIWYG-style interface. It does have a preview tab but in edit mode you basically see a raw HTML editor. Since I've been developing web sites since the mid 90's I don't find that too much of a problem!

Religious and conservative groups have always claimed that we, the LGBT community, have an agenda... So, I'll tell you what it is so it will no longer be a secret!

1. Promote promiscuity.
2. Convert as many heterosexuals as possible.
3. Outlaw all organized religions and persecute any that belong to one.
4. Enact gay marriage & outlaw marriage between a man and a woman.
5. Ban heterosexual people from adopting.
6. Outlaw heterosexual sexual activities and make them crimes against humanity.

Sound ridiculous? Well… To me, that’s exactly how these religious and conservative groups sound when they go spewing the foul shit that comes out of their mouths.

These people make me want to vomit. I hate the HRC. Every time I see their little blue & yellow sticker on someone's car I want to slap the piss out of them! While the HRC does have good goals they pick and choose their battles. A few years ago (and I posted on it back then too) they didn't even acknowledge us when we were trying to get help when Sams Club in Nashville was clearly discriminating against 2 gay men. It was blatant discrimination and later the managers of the store apologized to one of the men but, the HRC was not to be seen or heard from. They're a group of phony people in my mind and they're scum of the earth. Not to mention their name is purely misleading!

Just from the name, one would assume they're an organization that focuses on rights for all HUMANS and not just LGBT right? I think they need to rename their organization or expand their focus and their locations to make it a global organization.

It's just my personal opinion but, I think we would be better off without this group. They clearly helped Bush get re-elected and, if we're not careful, they will enable the Republican candidate (whomever he or she may be) get elected in '08.

Yes, LGBT activists essentially re-elected GWB. If it were not for the gay marriage ban on most of the states in the last presidential election (including, of course, Ohio) a lot... A LOT of the conservatives most likely would have stayed home and not voted. Of course, this is an assumption on my part but you'd have a hard time trying to convince me otherwise... So, therefore, I blame the HRC for helping to re-elect GW Bush too! Among all of their other faults...

This post was sparked by a news article that I came across where the HRC is advising the LGBT community to shop at and support retailers that support LGBT advocacy.

Well... honey... personally... I'm going to shop where ever the hell I want to shop! Where the best deals are at. I'll be damn if I'm going to pay 100 more for a product just because they support the LGBT community. That's right... I must not be gay!?!?! Even though I like guys. Go figure.

It's good, take my word on it. So once she gets that finished we're off to put up the Christmas tree. Sorry, Will, I must do what she tells me!

So how's things going with you? We're having a ball. We've been shopping literally every day since I've been down. Take one look at my bank account and you can tell it too! I did get a very good deal today on a leather jacket! 30 bucks! It's not a heavy coat or anything... Definitely not a garment you should wear in a Chicago winter.

I was just telling mom... I've found an undocumented feature on my car and I'm not sure exactly what it is... I've got to Google it and try to figure it out... This car has so much shit on it... It tells me when to change the oil and even when the tire pressure is low!

It also tells me when there's icey conditions outside... I thought the first time I saw that "Thank God!!! I wouldn't have known!"

LOL It has a lot of ridiculous stuff on it but they're nice to have I suppose. The oil & tire pressure things are definitely nice to have.

LUMBERTON - The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina voted last week to
send a clear message to its churches - ban gays or leave the membership.

I, for the life of me, cannot understand how a person or church can do something like this and, in good conscience, call themselves Christians. It's truly beyond me. The message they're sending out is very clear: These Baptists are hateful bigots that either do not understand their biblical teachings or they're being selectively choosing what's convenient for them, what serves their agenda, from their bible. Think about this for just a moment... This is truly HATEFUL. Espeically for a Christian - a person who is suppose to forgive and love all.

So... From now on, I declare that all Baptist associations, churches, etc... are the following:

The organization as a whole is no longer to be considered a religion - it is a social/political mechanism that is organized for the sole purpose of promoting their supremecy. Their supremecy, as they teach, is greater than any other organization (religous or otherwise.)
Individual churches (buildings) will now be referred to as Local or Regional Headquarters.

Additionally, all Baptists must follow these guidlines:

The Bible is to be re-written to more specifically suit their needs/wants/desires/goals/objectives.
All Baptist women will no longer be allowed to have jobs or server any type of public office in any capacity with the exception of cleaning.
All Baptist women must serve their husbands and cater to their every need, want, and desire.
If members of a Baptist family turn out to be gay, the entire family will be expelled from the organization - this could pose a threat to the core of the beliefs of the organization.

My cat got a new necklace today with a bell on it. I think she likes it.

I like Christmas music. I suppose because it's only once a year that it's listened to? Perhaps we should have 2 Chritmases a year. That would be surperb. I'm sure retailers would like that. Just another reason to mark up their merchandise so they can put it on sale.

Today is a wonderful day. Only for those that aren't working. Those poor souls are troubled and need to re-evaluate their work ethics. Should we fire our bosses?

My Tennessee Home

Well... Everything is going well on this visit. We've went shopping every day so far... I don't know if my wallet/bank_account is going to survive the trip! I always blame it on Moe but it's just fun being able to take her out and go shopping. Something we've never really been able to do (financially) until now. We just walked around today looking at stuff... If we wanted it, we just threw it in the buggy! It was nice.

We bought Sarah McLachlan's new Christmas CD - "Wintersong" - It's very good (as usual). If you like Sarah, I highly recommend you purchasing this album. It's worth the money.

So, I'm also working while on my visit back home. Thankfully, work makes it to where I can do everything (literally) remotely that I can do in the office with the exception of in-person meetings but that's nothing... just get on the phone for that!

I've been taking a ton of pictures too! I'll upload some of the best ones so you all can see them. I've started making photo albums here lately and really enjoy having them! So far, we've used up nearly 2 rolls of film. I bought 2 more disposable cameras just in case. LOL

I'm trying to find a deal on a Canon Rebel digital SLR but not having much luck so far... I can't afford a new one - those things are just way too expensive!!! Anyways.... I'll holler at ya later.. I'm gonna check my e-mail and shit and see what's up with everyone.

Well, Frankie and I are getting ready to go home for Thanksgiving. We didn’t go last year because I couldn’t get the time off. This year things are a bit different and I’m going to be able to telecommute for the three days we’re working. I got the approval yesterday. Not really a big deal since any possible thing that I may ever need to do can be done just as easily remotely as it can be from the office. Anyway, we’re looking forward to the time off with the family – not looking forward to the 9 hour drive though! I’ve decided I’m going to drive down Sunday morning instead of my usual (leaving in the evening and driving all night.) The last time was really rough on me so I’m not going to do that anymore.

On other notes… My music repository is getting quite large thanks to a particular friend! I’ve got nearly 8000 songs and fully expect to hit 10,000 before Monday. It’s pretty awesome. He’s uploaded shit on there that I’ve never even heard of! Most of it is really good too. I’ve not found anything that I haven’t like yet but, according to WinAmp, there’s about 23 / 24 days worth of music (listening 24/7) so, I doubt I ever listen to all of it. LOL

My new switch should be in in the next day or two. I’m going to get it up & running as well as the firewall… I’m getting way too much traffic on my network at home. That poor hub is just going nuts! I really want to get that shit installed and configured before I leave. The firewall has a built-in VPN concentrator as well so I’ll be able to VPN onto my network as well. I just couldn’t imagine not being connected anymore!!! That would drive me fucking nuts.

So anyhow… back to talking about going home… It seems like I haven’t been in ages so I’m really really looking forward to it! I have to run by Nancy’s and pick up a bottle of the wine I’ve been drinking so Elaine & Will can try it. It’s a great blend of 3 different grapes and is very mellow (I think.) Gov is supposed to come for Thanksgiving dinner this year… I hope he does! Tyler & Donna are coming too so this should be a really nice Thanksgiving this year.

I’ve been going back & forth about putting my Christmas tree up. If I decide to, I’m also perplexed with the decision of when… Should I put it up before I leave or just wait until afterward? Do I really want to put up with the cat climbing in it again this year and have to redecorate the damn thing 5 or 6 times? Well, I doubt she’ll do it this year. She was punished enough for sure. Sable never did really fuck with the tree. I remember one year Moe had decorated the coffee table and had that white fuzz / cotton-ney stuff all over it and Sable was laying in it. LOL We didn’t even notice her because of the way the table was done – she just blended right into the scenery! (serious) It was hilarious! I’ve got a picture of it somewhere… I’ll try and find it and post it. It was a great picture.

On another note, I was farting around on Will’s blog today and went to FedStats.gov and looked up a few things… Did you know that the population of the county here in IL that I live in (Cook {Chicago}) has a population of 5.3 million? Did you also know that the entire population of TN is just a few hundred thousand more than that? Very interesting!

LAME DUCK!

Finally the public woke up – even though it’s really too late. The damage has been done and it’s irreversible. At least it is for my lifetime. It’s unfortunate too. I was watching some other things going on in the country last night… The only county in Tennessee where the majority voted against the “gay marriage” ban was Madison County. That’s a shocker! I would like to note that at the time of this post, there was only around 57% precincts reporting for Madison County so, that will probably change.

What could anyone really expect on that issue in Tennessee though? Really now… A state full of closed, narrow-minded ultra-religious bigoted hypocrites. Oh wow… Do I seem a little harsh? Well… I grew up there. I can say whatever the hell I want to say about the majority of the people down there. I’m just glad I moved to a “BLUE” state. My friends up here say “Oh, I love Tennessee” and I say “Go live there for a while and you won’t.” It’s the truth – it’s great to visit and the state definitely has some beautiful scenery but once you start living there and see the poverty and ignorance, you start to get disgusted with it all.

WOW… I didn’t mean to get off topic! Well, I didn’t sorta – kinda. You know, the outcome of this election (I keep thinking) could have been somewhat better for the Republicans. If Bush hadn’t have made the entire election a “National” issue (as the people in the press are saying) – I don’t think the Democrats would have won quite as many seats. I’m not saying they wouldn’t have taken control of the house… That was unavoidable but, I don’t think there would have been such a large margin as there is.

I’m interested in hearing what the shrub has to say at 1 o’clock today. I’m also interested to see how things play out in the Senate. Honestly, I’m getting very tired of this “recount” bull shit – I don’t care which side it is! Admit your loss and MOVE ON! Stop wasting your time and the taxpayers’ money.

Budget Reform

Here’s a thought… Let’s take the existing budget. Place a freeze on all hiring – across the board (all government office, including military.) This is just the start. Next we’re going to cut out ALL non-essential programs from the budget. If it doesn’t keep the government in operation, cut the funding. Now, I’m mainly speaking of the stupid things. What I’m talking about here are funds that are spent on things such as, grants to art institutes to help artists create sculptures out of garbage cans. Things that are totally out of the realm of usefulness. Government programs like welfare, social security, etc… will remain untouched until we get the rest under control – untouched in BOTH directions. Now new money put in but no existing money take out. After 4 years of this type of budget you would start to see some serious improvements in the finances of the government. Yes, this is an extreme but, if we want to see things cleaned up effectively and quickly, there’s not an easy way to do it!

Another thing I guess I would have to propose would be to immediately and unequivocally pull ALL of our troops (not normally stationed there (pre-9/11) home. It’s now a civil war and they need to take care of their own shit in my opinion. OR… better yet… Let’s seize 100% of every politician that has voted pro-Bush finances and use that to finance the troops until a realistic, but immediate, withdrawal can be formulated… Yes yes.. I like this plan much better.

Really now... Do I give a shit about this? So they're probably launching another spy satellite in orbit or some stupid shit that costs us billions. In this age of computers can someone tell me why we don’t already have intergalactic space travel yet? Why are we, essentially, using the exact same technology that we were using ~1969? Something doesn’t sit well in that thought. We have satellites that can take a picture of a mole on your ass from orbit! (As seen on T.V.)

Don’t tell me the technology isn’t there. The stealth plane was in OPERATION in the late 70’s – we heard about them when? I can’t remember the debut of this machine but it seems it was in the early 90’s – at worst the extreme late 80’s. At a time we were building hoopty cars like the ’79 Ford LTD – oh yeah – we had aircraft that was invisible to radar.

So, in the end, seeing them launch another one of these idiotic space craft into orbit is really insulting to me.

I’m not suggesting we possess technology that’s represented by the movies Hollywood makes but DAMN! It is truly insulting. ARGH.

People haven’t gotten over the REAL TRAGEDY! Do we really want to relive it so soon after it happened? I know I don’t.

I’m really wondering why there haven’t been any movies from the Katrina disaster yet. If you stuck to the truth and showed the patheticness of the “recovery” “effort” – now that would be a good movie.

OK. I've been a consultant for nearly 10 years now. I've worked directly with clients as well as working through professional staffing agencies. Yesterday I received an e-mail from the company I am working "through" - it is the first time ever! I'm still pissed about it. It was totally inappropriate, unprofessional, and could pose a potential breach in the confidentiality agreement I signed with the client.

Attached to the e-mail was 2 documents. One was a form asking specifics about the project I am working on and the people involved. The other document was a status update document - wanting to know tasks, how many are still open and why, how many are closed, and several other inappropriate questions. Oh... and they expect this status report every week for the first 2 months!

So... To avoid any drama I've completed the documents. They are so vague, they will most likely respond back - giving me the opening I need to inform them how inappropriate the whole thing is. As for the weekly reports go, I will be sending the same form I just completed - without changing it. UGH!!!

Started a new contract today! I’ve reached my goal that I set to make X amount per year with this new contract! Not bad for a guy with just a high school diploma! Inside Man

OK. I just finished watching “Inside Man” – Elaine forgot and left it after dinner this evening and I didn’t want it to go to waste! SO, I watched it. This movie, in the end, was OK. Up until about ½ to ¾ of the way through the movie, everything about it was really just getting on my nerves but I did like the ending… It was cool. Of course, I’m not a fan of Spike Lee either – in fact, I have disliked every movie he’s done to date so, I’m surprised that I even found this one remotely good; probably because Clive Owen and Jody Foster is in it. Those two are awesome actors! (Please notice I did not include Denzel Washington there.) He, for some reason, plays a pussified role in 90% of his movies. Always playing the pacifist; although I liked him in that one where he played a bodyguard in Mexico – can’t recall the name of that movie. At any rate, I will give the movie 2 and ½ stars out of a possible 5 (and that’s being generous!)

I set it up using Windows Sharepoint Services but we may migrate it to another technology or customize it to suit her needs. I’m going to let her use it for a while and I’m sure I’ll get feedback soon enough!

I’m heading back to Tennessee Wednesday. I have a job interview with a company in Nashville – not entirely sure if I really want to move back to TN but I can’t go broke! ( Unless something changes, I’ll be teaching a 4-day class on Sharepoint at a local technology education center here in Chicagoland. It’s kind of exciting plus, it’ll look GREAT on my resume!

Lots of changes of late… I resigned my position with the company I was working for yesterday. It was for the best and there are no hard feelings on either side. I got a decent exit from the company and should be ok long enough to find another job. Anyways.. I’ll post more when I have more time. I’m right in the middle of updating my laptop software! I've been working on my home network the past few weeks. Things are going roughly. It's all Microsoft... WHAT'D YOU EXPECT? LOL Anyway... I'm getting there. I bought a 160 GB drive yesterday and I'm uploading all my CD's to it.

Well... I haven't posted in ages so I thought I'd give an update...

Thanks to a friend at work I'm about to start playing one of those Doom-type games.. He's making me a CD of it but I keep forgetting the name of it. He's also giving me some computer equipment (like I really need more shit!!!) Well... Actually, I do need a few of the things he's giving me. hehe The most important being a KVM (rack mount) switch. It will go well with my server cabinet. LOL (All this in a freakin apartment.) I'll soon have a game server up and running as well. (Already got 3 other servers online so far.) fun fun. eh.. I like it anyway. www.zillacam.com!!!! Even though I rarely turn on the cameras anymore. hehe

Those poor people in New Orleans... I sent an email to my boss earlier suggesting that we have a rummage sale at work and donate the proceeds to the victims... We have our annex building full of junk that the CEO wants gone by the end of the year.. I figure it's the perfect way to do it and, hopefully, do a lot of good in the process.

Work seems to be going ok. It's proving a bit stressful at times but I'm trying my best. Went to Boystown last night... Had a str8 friend with me and wasn't really looking to do anything other than have a few drinks and hang out and whatnot... I'll tell you one thing though... If I don't get me some soon I'm gonna go to the bathhouse. LOL (right) Can you hear the sarcasm? :-P Ain't no tellin' what all kinds of cooties are up in that place. Anyways... I guess I've found my QAF replacement show. "ROME" on HBO - it has some promise for sure. That "Weeds" show on ShoTime just isn't cutting it. Too fucking depressing. They need to put out another cutting-edge homo show quick! (The L-Word does not count.) I could care less about watching a show about carpet munchers as I'm sure most lesbo's didn't like QAF... or maybe it's just me. Who knows. Who cares! Anyway.. LATER!

Well... I went back home this past weekend for a mini-vacation. I enjoyed it. Didn't realize that I was homesick until I came back home (Chicago) though. *SIGH* Here are a few pictures I took...

YES I took Frankie with me!!! The only think she didn't like was sitting in her carrier in the car. When I let her out she would lay down under my legs or be looking out the window... Of course, she made herself right at home when we got to Moe's house...

So I'm going on a diet.. First time ever actually... I was sick earlier this week and just didn't have any kind of appetite and that's what triggered it. Anyhow... Monday all I had to eat was a cup of fake chicken broth, an apple, and a handful of chips. Tuesday, I had 2 hot dogs, some chips and a few slices of cheddar cheese. Wednesday all I had was a handful of tortilla chips and some salsa.... Today I had an apple around lunch time then I just ate a hot dog and some chips - I wasn't really hungry but I figured I'd be in piss-poor shape by lunch tomorrow if I didn't eat something. Oh.. I had an apple.

Anyways... getting to what I originally wanted to say... This diet is going to consists of lots of water, coffee, and fruit. I stopped by the farmers' market on the way home today to pick up some fruit. (bananas were 19 cents a pound!) Anyway, I got some of those, some Washington apples, some Granny Smith apples, and a couple of big ass peaches. I figure all that will get me through to sometime next week. Anyhow... I'm walking up to the shortest checkout line (of course) with my things in-hand.. 3 small bags of fruit and a couple of bunches of bananas. So this prick comes racing up and cuts me off to get in front of my in the line.. I didn't say anything.. He had only a few things in his cart. THEN his fucking bitch-wife comes strolling right pass me with a cart FULL of shit!!! I was so fucking mad. I wonder if he heard me call him a sorry bastard and I moved to the next checkout line. I felt like slapping the stupid out of him!

On to another topic.. I got a 42U server cabinet now! LOL It's overkill in the apartment but will be ok once I buy my house. I'm running 4 servers on 2 battery backups. It's all pretty cool. The modem & router are on one backup which, came in really handy the other day when the power went out! I was sitting in the dark with my laptop chatting away on the net! LOL

Well... I'm, of course, not over the loss of Sable. She had such a huge impact on my life, I doubt I ever will be. I love her dearly! About a week ago I started nosing around the pet adoption agencies up here. I spoke with this really nice lady, Judy, (who, in fact, is potentially going to be a close friend of mine - ironically she lives like minutes from me!) Anyway, I hadn't really found a cat that I was interested in. Then, Thursday, Judy calls me and says "I want to read you something." and went on to tell me about this kitten that was found TAPED UP IN A BOX AND PLACED IN A DUMPSTER! (How can someone be this EVIL!?!?!) Luckily, a passerby heard this 4 month old crying and saw her paw sticking out of the box and rescued her.

Judy said when she saw the picture of her something told her to call me. When I looked at the picture I instantly knew it was my familiar coming back to me!

Keeping with the naming convention that I've always used to name my cats, her name is going to be Lady Francesca (Frankie for short.)

So... they're here and aparently here to stay. There's just one observation I feel I should make.

ALL RETAIL BUSINESSES NEED TO BE UNIONIZED - The main two that I see needing it the most are convenience stores (which would never happen) and big-box retailers (the majority of them anyway.)

They SHIT on their employees, paying them as little as they possibly can and give them as few benefits as they can. There are exceptions to this but on average this is it. It's very sad.

So yesterday, I finally got a grill and, of course, I had to break it in! I had some friends over and we cooked out hamburgers and weenies (hehehe)...

I soaked the charcoal for like 15 minutes (that's what I've always done in the past) then light it up... Well, after I lit it I left it to burn for about 15 more minutes. Go back to check on it and the coals were not only glowing red, it had caught back on fire! It was the hottest fire i've ever seen in a grill!!! C'mon over! We'll cook some shit! hehe

Well, a few weeks ago my boss, Karyn, was telling me about this movie "Office Space" and how it closely resembled working with the company I'm at now. So, not having seen this movie, I go and get it. Actually, I borrowed it from Mark & Ollie. After watching the movie, I do see similarities but the movie was sorta stupid if you ask me.... What's bad is that I'm starting to use quotes from the damn movie!

So Pussi (Pucci), a co-worker, is coming over for drinks this evening. I've invited this intern from work too who may be bringing his roommate (cause his roommate "doesn't know anyone here either") - that's cool. Pucci and I both thing this intern is gay. Gay or not, I wouldn't mind a sample of him for sure.

I still haven't got with Pucci about the other peeps (regular employees) that I think are gay. Well, I'm pretty positive they're gay - at this point I'm trying to figure out if they're a couple of not! I mean.. you know you're gay when you wear shoes with big buckles on them!!! LOL

I think I'm going to cook a jambalayah (spelling) tonight. Pucci has lived a sheltered life. He's 30 years old and the only beans he's ever ate have been refried beans at a Mexican resturant!!! I wonder how he's going to respond to this dinner. LOL We'll find out tomorrow when flames are shooting out of his A S S !!! LOL

Well, Mark and Ollie took me to Boystown last night for my birthday. It was a blast!!! I even danced a lot. Now that's a rare thing.. Me dancing!?!?!?! (shaddup Chuck) Anyways.. First we went to "Sidetracks" - a video bar. It was really nice and modern. There was this one HUNK working there (barback) and well... I just had to do it. So I told him I'd love to take him out for dinner and gave him my number. JUST MY LUCK... He's married. Now... normally I wouldn't look much into it but... Well.. a homo can hope! During our brief conversation we hugged... That, in itself, distracted me so much it made me forget his name! :( But it changed from husband to his "boyfriend" OH LORD... That hug. I just melted! Then, as we were getting ready to leave for the next club, I caught out of the corner of my eye - he put my number in his pocket. Now... I don't want to get my hopes up but if he calls... I'll turn into a fucking home wrecker for sure!

So we go to the next club, Roscoe's, a dance bar. It was really hip and trendy. Clean... and BIG. Lots of younger guys at this club. This is where I danced. :-/ It was pretty cool. Didn't really hit on anyone. I had a few promising glances from a few hotties but nothing I would have thought to be enough to follow up on. Then there was this one strung-out twink. OLORD. He was adorable! You could tell he was on something though. The kid was bouncing off the walls. LOL I played with him a little bit. Honestly, wouldn't have minded too terribly bad taking him home. He was definitely cute enough. hehe but, I doubt that he would have had the quality of staying power though. Definitely just a one-nighter. Anyways... One of Mark & Ollie's friends came along with us and turns out he has Curtis' phone number so, I'm gonna have to call her old ass up and see what she's up to. It'll blow her mind that I've moved. hehe

Well, I started out last weekend with a list of 14 garage sales.. I made it to 4 and decided to stop. For less than 400 bucks I got a queen-size bed, 2 end tables, a coffee table, 2 lamps, a desk lamp, 35" console TV, 27" tv, a vacume cleaner, 2 paintings, and 2 hanging mirrors.
